I liked reading 'The Hobbit'. It is a good adventure book about a little hobbit, thirteen dwarves and a wizard. They start on an adventure to a far away mountain to try and find the ancent treasure of a very inportant dwarf but on the way they have some unpleasant encounters.
It was a good book and I would rate it 4/5 stars.

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien is about the first adventure of the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins. He is surprised by a group of dwarfs that turn up unexpectedly to Bilbo's door. They tell him of treasure that most people don't know about and say that it really belongs to them. They also tell him that if he helps them then he will receive a large amount of the treasure. However, the treasure is guarded by a dragon that would kill to keep it. The treasure is inside the dragon's lair in the middle of the mountain because long ago the dragon destroyed a city to take it from the king. The dwarfs, hobbit and Gandalf the wizard, head out over the mountains towards the dragons lair. During their travels they are scared by dragons, captured by goblins and elves, nearly starved to death in a huge forest and involved in a battle over the treasure. At the end the dwarf leader Thorin is killed in the battle but managed to win his treasure. I think this is a very well written book although the language used is a bit difficult to understand at first.
